Lynne Chandler

Private Home Carer in Wellingborough & the Surrounding Areas

About Me

Hello, I’m Lynne, the founder of Foxglove Homecare.I provide private home care in Wellingborough and the surrounding areas, supporting people to remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the familiarity of their own homes. With over 20 years of experience in care, I began my career as an agency carer, completing my NVQ Level 1 and Level 2 in Health and Social Care. I then spent 14 years working as a dedicated private carer for a young lady with profound learning disabilities and autism. This role shaped my approach to care, teaching me the importance of consistency, patience, and building genuine trust over time.Throughout my career, I have seen how agency care can sometimes feel fragmented, with limited time to build meaningful relationships. I believe care should never feel rushed or transactional, but steady, familiar, and centred on the individual. My perspective became even more personal when I lost my mother to dementia two years ago. She lived in Great Doddington while I lived about an hour away, and managing her care alongside everyday life was both challenging and emotional. Finding the right support for her was not straightforward, and that experience has stayed with me ever since. It was then that I made the decision to establish Foxglove Homecare, named after my mother’s favourite flower, as a lasting tribute to her.My aim is to provide a more personal, relationship-led approach to care, where continuity and dignity come first. By working with a small number of clients, I am able to offer consistent, attentive support and build trusted relationships with both clients and their families.I only take on clients where I am confident I can meet their needs safely, appropriately, and within my professional experience, skills, and capacity. For added reassurance, I hold an enhanced DBS certificate and have the appropriate public liability insurance in place.

Services

I offer personalised support designed around each client’s individual needs, routines, and preferences. The services below reflect some of the most common ways I provide support, although this is not a full list. Care is always tailored following an initial conversation and assessment.

Personal Care and Daily Living Support

I provide respectful assistance with personal and hygiene care, dressing, and daily routines, always promoting independence wherever possible. Support can also include mobility assistance, excluding the use of hoists, along with help preparing meals and monitoring nutrition to ensure comfort and wellbeing throughout the day.

Home Support

Maintaining a clean, calm, and well-organised home environment can make a significant difference to wellbeing. I offer light household cleaning, laundry support, and practical help with everyday tasks to keep the home comfortable and manageable.

Companionship and Community Support

Care is not only about practical help but also about connection and reassurance. I offer friendly companionship, meaningful conversation, and support to remain socially active, including transport to appointments or social engagements in Wellingborough and the nearby towns and villages in a comfortable, modern, and safe car.

These examples represent the most common services I provide, but support is always personalised to suit individual circumstances and needs.
